Deepak Khanna, Head of Wealth, HSBC
Mr. Khanna heads Wealth Development for HSBC, Retail Banking and Wealth management in Singapore since 2013. Mr. Khanna has an extensive experience in the Wealth Management industry covering different aspects like Investments, Insurance, treasury, deposits and Investment lending. Prior to joining HSBC, he has held similar roles covering product and advisory for ANZ and ABN AMRO Bank in Singapore. Mr. Khanna is a CFA Charter holder and also completed his MBA.
Manu George, Senior Investment Director – Fixed Income, Schroders
Mr. George has been with Schroders Asian Fixed Income team since 2014. Previously, he held the position of Schroders’ Head of Fixed Income Product Management, EMEA (London) and prior to that, the Fixed Income Product Manager for Schroders London. He was once a CDO Analyst at Solent Capital and prior to 2004, he has taken several roles: Radian Asset Assurance Ltd as an Associate focused on corporate and ABS structured credit transactions; Hymans Robertson Consultants and Actuaries as a Student Actuary; Investec Bank South Africa Ltd (Johannesburg) as a Financial Products Analyst; and Transnet Pension Fund (Johannesburg) as an Investment Analyst.
Mr. George has a Master of Science in Financial Mathematics, King’s College London and 16.5 years of investment experience.
Geoff Howie Market Strategist, Singapore Exchange
Mr. Howie is the Singapore Exchange’s Market Strategist, with 20 years’ of experience in finance and economics.
He is the author of the SGX My Gateway Report which highlights important market developments and has served investors with regular educational extracts since 2012. The Report has one of the largest subscriber bases in the Singapore market. Mr. Howie also writes the weekly column in the Business Times, Inside Insights.
Mr. Howie previously held lead Broking and Market Strategist roles across the Asia Pacific offices of a large international futures broker. He complemented his broking profile with the provision of frequent market reports, seminars and commentary to local and international media. He has also served as the Treasury Adviser to the Leader of the Queensland Liberal Party in Queensland Parliament.
He has received a Bachelors and Master’s degree in Economics at the University of Queensland, with his thesis achieving the highest grade for first-mover policy research on the opening of Shanghai’s economy in the early 1990s. Mr. Howie’s other notable achievements include receiving two Hong Kong Securities Institute Outstanding Achievers awards for 2005.
Mr. Howie also serves as on the management committee of the Australian Alumni Singapore (AAS) and is a member of the editorial board of HealthInvestor Asia.
